Meet Our Team

Victor Wright— Owner

Victor began his career in Residential Building right after receiving his degree in Building Science from Auburn University in 1998. Upon graduating, he relocated from Birmingham to Charlotte, NC to work as an estimator for a tract builder and, subsequently, Estimating Manager for a high-end custom home builder. In 2006 he got his NC Builders License and  started his own company specializing in custom new home construction.

In 2012, in order to be close to his mom, Victor and his family moved back “home” to Birmingham where he was born and raised. There, he immediately began working as a Project Manager for an elite custom remodeling company in the greater Birmingham area. However after a few years, he felt called to start BECA Residential Construction, LLC in the spring of 2016. Victor is a licensed Alabama Homebuilder and brings over 25 years of experience to his many duties as managing owner of BECA.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife over a cup of coffee and with his 4 kids. You will find him most Sundays serving on the leadership team at the church he attends. He also has a passion for fishing and cutting grass and, when time allows, works alongside his son as “hired help” doing lawn maintenance and helping him grow his lawn business!

Gary Speegle— Project Manager

Gary has worked in some facet of the construction industry for most of his life. Growing up in North Alabama, he spent time as a child helping his dad at job sites, before working as a carpenter through his college years while earning a degree in Building Science from Auburn University in 2008. He moved to Birmingham in 2011 and worked in the commercial industry for two years before returning to his true passion of residential construction in 2013. Having worked alongside Victor previously, he ultimately joined him at BECA Residential in 2020 where he has continued to enjoy serving the over-the-mountain area in home renovations and remodeling.

Professionally, Gary values the personal nature of working on homes and getting to know each client individually, their families and the various neighborhoods throughout the Birmingham area.

Personally, Gary has been happily married to this wife, Coburn, for 15 years. They have 3 children and live in Cahaba Heights. He loves spending time at home, playing with his kids, working around the house and helping his wife garden. They are members at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, AL.

Ashley Floyd— Accounting

Growing up with a military father, Ashley had the privilege to live in many different places and attend multiple schools. She contributes her ability to serve and build relationships with others more easily because of that upbringing!

After college graduation, she joined the staff of Campus Outreach to minister to students at the University of South Alabama. After four wonderful years, she transitioned away from the ministry and started her own business providing pitching (softball) lessons to young girls in the Mobile, Alabama community. At the very same time, she was working her way up in a multi-million dollar company, starting out as a packager in their warehouse to eventually earning the title of bookkeeper and HR coordinator.

Ashley moved to Birmingham in 2018 and joined the BECA Residential team in 2019. She is a mama to two whom she had the great privilege to adopt. You can find the three of them jumping on their trampoline or snuggling on the couch for a family movie night!
